As a Press Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Press Operator. This position involves duties similar to general labor and production work, such as changing plates and inks, assisting in job order changes, and conducting quality checks. Quality checks require both visual inspection and precise measurement to ensure products meet specifications.
Responsibilities
Enjoy a flexible work schedule with four days off every other week and no rotating schedules, allowing for more personal time and opportunities for side jobs, hobbies, and vacations. Benefit from a supportive work environment with a $.50 raise after 90 days and a $1/hour increase after a year, along with annual performance reviews.
Work Environment
The work schedule includes TFS (Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Sunday) from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a 6% shift premium, and WTF (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and every other Saturday) from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM with an 8% shift premium. The printing area can be loud and hot during the summer, with a faint ink smell that becomes unnoticeable with time. Steel toe shoes are optional but acceptable. Safety is a top priority, with strict rules to protect employees and immediate action taken on any violations. The work schedule alternates between 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next.
