My direct client, a top Multi-strat fund in Midtown is seeking a talented front office focused Full-Stack Engineer.

Must:

-Be able to work onsite 4x/week in Midtown

-Be eligible to work without any sponsorship now or in the future

-Have current or recent hedge fund/family office/asset management client experience.

-Expert in Java and Python and React

-Excited about partnering with front office and risk users on long-term and strategic projects.

Senior Full Stack Developer – Front Office & Risk

New York | 4x/week onsite (Midtown)

This is a newly created senior hire sitting directly at the intersection of trading, portfolio management, and risk. You’ll build high-impact tools used daily by decision-makers, with real visibility and influence across the firm.

The Role

You’ll design and build proprietary applications that power front office and risk workflows — partnering closely with traders, PMs, and research teams to translate complex investment needs into scalable, elegant technology.

This is not a back-office dev seat — it’s a true business-facing engineering role with immediate impact.

What You’ll Do

• Partner directly with Portfolio Managers, Traders, and Risk teams
• Turn ambiguous business problems into clean, high-performance solutions
• Own the full lifecycle: design → build → deploy → iterate
• Build tools across analytics, execution, and risk monitoring
• Deliver highly responsive, reliable systems used in real-time decision-making
• Act as a go-to technical resource for front office stakeholders

What They’re Looking For

• ~5+ years experience in full stack development
• Strong engineering foundation with:
• Java / Python
• JavaScript (React preferred)
• SQL / data-driven applications
• Experience building user-facing applications with strong data visualization
• Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, GCP, etc.)
• Snowflake a plus

Background

• Ideal: Buy-side experience (hedge fund / asset manager / family office)
• Also open to strong engineers from fintech environments
