Our client is currently seeking a Food Scientist/Technologist in Illinois.

Senior Food Technologist / Product Development Scientist/Food Scientist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of new food products and optimization of existing ones.
  • Create and refine benchtop prototypes.
  • Plan, execute, and oversee production-scale test runs.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret technical data to guide product decisions.
  • Develop initial product specifications and documentation.

Education, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science, Culinary Arts, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Food Technologist or in a similar product development role.
  • Demonstrated higher level of expertise and additional experience compared to a standard Food Technologist.
  • In-depth knowledge of food ingredient functionality, product development, food processing, nutrition, and food labeling regulations.
  • Hands-on capability to mix, process, and evaluate formulas as required.
  • Experience planning, coordinating, and running plant test trials.
