Position Overview
Duvall Events is seeking a highly skilled and creative Floral Design & Production Manager to
lead the execution of premium event environments across Charleston’s most sought-after venues,
including our flagship venue, The Grand at 81 Mary.
This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day production of floral elements for high-end
events, ensuring exceptional quality, consistency, and execution. The ideal candidate combines
strong design sensibility with operational leadership, bringing client visions to life through floral
design, procurement and execution, while managing a fast-paced production team.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Execution
- Oversee all floral production for weddings, corporate events, and social functions
- Order and secure florals for all events; process, pull and produce
- Ensure consistent execution of high-end floral arrangements and event décor installations
- Lead event setup, including on-site execution at multiple venues
- Maintain quality control standards across all floral and décor outputs
Team Leadership
- Manage, schedule, and develop a team of floral designers and production staff
- Provide hands-on leadership in daily production, including processing and design
- Train team members on best practices in floral handling, design techniques, and installations
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels for events and production workload
Design Collaboration
- Partner closely with the sales and events team to translate client visions into executable designs
- Participate in client consultations and proposal development (as needed)
- Provide creative input and practical guidance on floral and décor concepts
Inventory & Operations
- Manage floral inventory, décor assets, and production supplies
- Oversee ordering, receiving, and processing of floral products
- Ensure proper care, storage, and rotation of inventory
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of production and warehouse spaces
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in floral design, processing, and production
- 3–5 years of management experience leading teams in a production or event environment
- Strong knowledge of floral products, seasonality, and design techniques
- Experience with event draping and/or lighting installations preferred
- Proven ability to execute high-volume, high-end events under tight timelines
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items
- Comfortable working on ladders and handling installations at height
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a production/warehouse environment
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules
