A Day in the Life of the Flexographic Press Operator

In this role, you’ll be responsible for setting up and operating a multi-unit, web-fed flexographic printing press while ensuring top-tier product quality and efficiency. You’ll work hands-on with machinery, interpret job specifications, and play a key role in delivering consistent, high-quality printed materials that meet production standards and customer expectations.


Responsibilities include:

  • Set up, operate, and maintain flexographic printing press equipment
  • Monitor machine performance to ensure efficiency and quality output
  • Review job specifications including roll diameter, stock numbers, and labeling instructions
  • Configure line equipment such as slitting shafts, arbors, and carton sealers
  • Interpret work orders and follow supervisor instructions
  • Perform quality control checks on finished rolls (cut quality, alignment, diameter, fit)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues as needed
  • 2nd shift position: Monday-Thursday (4pm-2am) 10 hours a day, overtime available on Friday
  • Initial Training will take place during 1st shift Monday-Thursday (6am-4pm) 10 hours a day, overtime available on Friday


Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of flexographic printing experience
  • Experience operating a Mark Andy press
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read, interpret instructions, and follow job specifications
  • Proficiency with fractions and basic math calculations
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Available to work second shift, Sunday–Wednesday, 4 PM–2 AM, with occasional Friday overtime
