Fleet Manager

We are seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to oversee maintenance, operations, and performance of a semi-trailer fleet in Antioch, IL. This role is ideal for candidates coming from large-scale fleet environments who have progressed from Maintenance Manager or Shop leadership roles and bring strong operational oversight, team leadership, and preventative maintenance expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the semi-trailer fleet, ensuring safety, uptime, and cost efficiency
• Manage and lead maintenance teams, including technicians and shop personnel
• Drive preventative maintenance programs and ensure timely repair execution
• Monitor fleet performance, downtime, and maintenance KPIs to optimize operations
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, safety standards, and company policies

Required Qualifications

• Background as a Fleet Manager, Maintenance Manager or Shop Manager in a transportation environment
• Experience with semi-trailers (van trailers preferred) and fleet operations
• Proven experience working in large fleet environments (Walmart, Amazon, FedEx, or similar high-volume operations)
• Strong leadership experience managing technicians and maintenance teams
• Deep understanding of preventative maintenance programs and fleet compliance requirements (DOT, safety, inspections)
• Ability to analyze operational performance and implement improvements

Compensation

$100,000 to $125,000 per year annual salary.
