The Role: Mid-Level Analyst


As a Mid-Level Analyst, you’ll report directly to our Director of Finance while working with the executive leadership team to build valuation models for acquisitions, assist in forecasting and budgeting for portfolio companies, assist in fund investment analysis and help drive strategic decisions across our portfolio of companies. Success means anticipating needs, adapting to ambiguity, and delivering insight that creates value.


Key Responsibilities


  • Develop financial and valuation models for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and major capital projects
  • Support all phases of the M&A process, including due diligence, execution, and integration
  • Assist in the development of existing portfolio companies’ forecasts and budgets
  • Analyze company and investment data to support decision-making
  • Evaluate market trends, competitive positioning, and strategic fit of acquisition or investment opportunities
  • Present findings and recommendations to Director of Finance
  • Conduct research on new growth and investment opportunities
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications - Education & Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field
  • Demonstrated track record of underwriting and investing in real estate development projects, with deep experience across the full lifecycle—including deal sourcing, underwriting, advanced financial modeling and investment analysis, capital structuring, entitlement, construction, leasing, and disposition, with a strong preference for multifamily and value-add developments.
  • Preferred: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, ideally investment banking, consulting, private equity and contractors
  • Preferred: Experience in M&A valuation modeling, fund analysis, and real estate underwriting


Skills & Requirements


  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (DCF, IRR, accretion/dilution models)
  • Solid grasp of financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow)
  • Understanding of the specialty contracting industry
