Finance Manager

Continental Battery Systems
Dallas, TX

Continental Battery Systems, a rapidly growing PE-backed company, is looking to add a detail-oriented, collaborative, and strategy-focused Finance Manager to its team. This high-visibility, high-impact role is designed for a finance professional who thrives at the intersection of financial rigor and business strategy.

Unlike a traditional FP&A role, this position serves as the "connective tissue" across the organization, acting as a strategic partner to the Head of FP&A, the finance organization, and departmental leadership. You will be responsible for orchestrating complex cross-functional projects, driving alignment across departments, and managing the strategic cadence of the finance team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic advisory & execution: Act as key advisor to the Head of FP&A on special projects, translating high-level corporate, BU, and functional strategic initiatives into prioritized operational roadmaps and actionable financial models.
  • Cross-functional “sideways management”: Collaborate with FP&A leadership team by aligning, executing, and synthesizing information across the organization to drive efficiency and decision-making.
  • Leadership operations: Manage the executive rhythm of the FP&A team, developing strategic objectives, key results, and KPIs, coordinating presentations to executive leadership / board of directors / sponsors, and triaging requests from & deliverables to business partners. Identify and mitigate "blind spots" in the business by synthesizing data from disparate sources into clear, executive-level insights.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A professional certification (CPA, CFA, etc.) is a plus but not mandatory.
  • 2-3 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, PE operations, or similar relevant experience involving strategic advisory and tactical execution support.
  • Proven experience advising, managing, or influencing cross-functional stakeholder groups, with a focus on project management and coordination.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis (e.g., advanced Excel, Power Query, Power Pivot). Experience with Tableau is not mandatory, but helpful.
  • Excellent communicator in written and verbal form. Strong experience developing PowerPoint deck narratives preferred.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, adapt to changing priorities, and work with minimal supervision to manage complex projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proactive learner with a growth mindset who is willing to stay current with industry trends and is eager to expand their technical and professional skillsets.
