⏰ Work Schedule: 37.5 hours/week (Flexible between 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
🔍 About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bridge File Clerk / Researcher to support the Federal Bridge File Project. This role involves researching, auditing, and digitizing bridge-related documentation to ensure accurate and complete records.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed research on assigned bridge files
- Compile and organize documentation for each bridge
- Convert hard copy files into digital formats (PDF scanning, indexing, storage)
- Convert TIF files into PDF format
- Audit bridge files and document discrepancies or anomalies
- Collaborate with internal systems and Archive Department to gather missing information
- Maintain daily progress records and generate monthly reports
- Provide written justification for incomplete files after thorough research
- Support additional documentation and reporting needs as required
✅ Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in file research, auditing, or document management
- Knowledge of file conversion processes (e.g., TIF to PDF)
- Experience with digital storage systems
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Logical thinker with strong research capabilities
