Position Summary

The Field Service Coordinator plays a critical role in planning, scheduling, and executing United Valve’s field service operations while actively contributing to the growth of the field service business. This position serves as a key liaison between customers, field technicians, the shop team, and internal departments. The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, and proactive in identifying opportunities to expand service offerings with both new and existing customers.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule field service technicians for on-site valve repair, inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities at customer facilities (refineries, plants, and industrial sites).
  • Receive and review customer service requests, develop detailed job plans, and dispatch technicians efficiently to minimize plant downtime.
  • Actively support the growth of the field service business by identifying and pursuing opportunities with new and existing customers, collaborating with the sales team on upselling additional services, and building strong, long-term customer relationships.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding job status, change orders, and issue resolution.
  • Track job progress, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure compliance with QA/QC and industry standards.
  • Manage logistics for tools, parts, travel, and equipment required for field jobs.
  • Prepare quotes, job cost estimates, and support A/R in invoicing processes.
  • Monitor technician performance, safety compliance, and service quality.
  • Maintain field service equipment and parts inventory.
  • Generate reports on field service activity, utilization, customer satisfaction, and business growth metrics.

 

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a coordinator, dispatcher, or administrative role within field service, oil & gas, valve repair, or industrial maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial valves, actuators, and related equipment required.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain customer relationships with a customer-service and growth-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and experience with service management software.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and service specifications.
  • Valid driver’s license, TWIC card and willingness to support occasional site visits.


Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Background in the valve, rotating equipment, or petrochemical service industry.
  • Experience with Houston-area refineries and petrochemical plants.
  • Familiarity with safety permitting and refinery procedures.
  • Knowledge of API and MSS standards.
