Job Title: Field Installation Coordinator

Job Description

The Field Installation Coordinator plays a crucial role in the Site Project Management Team, responsible for the successful installation of equipment at customer facilities. This position requires coordination between the Site Project Teams, Remote Management, and the customer to ensure seamless installation processes. The role involves assignments such as material planning, mechanical/electrical work supervision, floor coordination, team leadership, and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily wiring tasks including pre-wiring components and organizing junction boxes.
  • Lead and coordinate a team of 4–5 technicians, ensuring team alignment and task completion.
  • Wear and work in a cleanroom suit for extended periods while maintaining compliance with cleanroom protocols.
  • Monitor scheduling, procedures, and performance of installation work at customer facilities, recommending improvements as needed.
  • Oversee the implementation and training of approved control systems and procedures.
  • Assist in the analysis of errors and development of solutions in coordination with the Installation Site Manager.
  • Develop installation, qualification, and repair procedures for company equipment.
  • Supervise and coordinate material movement, electrical and mechanical contractors, and QAQC work based on project needs.
  • Attend daily in-field whiteboard meetings to review and discuss project progress.

Essential Skills

  • 2+ years of equipment install coordination experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Natural leadership skills with references or military as verification.
  • 2+ years of hands-on mechanical troubleshooting and equipment installation.
  • 1 year of basic electrical testing experience using tools like Multimeters.
  • Proficiency in mechanical equipment installation, project coordination, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to calculate figures related to discounts, interest, proportions, and apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with Electro/Mechanical equipment, pre-wiring, junction boxes, and basic electrical testing.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor industry practices, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Skills in logistics, QA/QC, budgeting, planning, and coordination.
  • Knowledge of AC/DC motors, conveyors, cranes, maintenance repair, gearboxes, PLCs, Allen-Bradley, and Mitsubishi systems.

Work Environment

The position is based onsite at a facility in North Phoenix, operating within a cleanroom environment that requires wearing a full cleanroom suit. The work environment is team-oriented and supportive, emphasizing clarity, honesty, and realistic expectations. Initially, no travel is required; however, up to 80% travel within the USA may be needed after the first year. The noise level is typical of a manufacturing setting, with reasonable accommodations made for individuals with disabilities.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr.
