About the Role

Are you organized, detail-oriented, and ready to support hands-on projects in a fast-paced construction and fabrication environment? Mid-Atlantic Crane is looking for an Operations Planning Coordinator who can keep field teams on schedule, ensure materials and steel are ready for fabrication, and help projects run smoothly from start to finish.


Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for reviewing project plans and Bills of Material to determine steel requirements for fabrication.
  • Assist with scheduling field teams for installations, fabrication, and new projects.
  • Serve as a liaison between field crews, customers, and internal teams.
  • Provide real-time support to field teams to keep projects moving efficiently.
  • Maintain and update project schedules using software tools.
  • Assist with timecard review and support adoption of digital tools and workflow systems.
  • Support job costing, labor tracking, and operational data accuracy.
  • Help ensure labor, equipment, freight, and vendor costs are accurately tracked and aligned with project estimates.
  • Source and purchase tools, PPE, supplies, and rental equipment.
  • Coordinate travel, freight, and vendor support for projects.
  • Track company credit card usage and purchase documentation.
  • Support fleet and shop operations, including maintenance coordination and cost tracking.
  • Assist with shop consumables, waste management, and hazardous materials coordination.
  • Assist with site access, certifications, training, and compliance tracking.
  • Support safety initiatives by reinforcing safety standards, assisting with site inspections, and ensuring safety concerns are prioritized, addressed, and followed through.
  • Help streamline processes and transition manual workflows into digital systems.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Supply Chain, or Related Field Preferred 
  • 3-5 years of experience in Operations Coordination in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience performing steel takeoffs or working with fabrication/project materials is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Comfortable supporting systems and providing first-line tech help.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel required).
  • Experience with scheduling, job costing, or field operations software preferred.
  • Detail-oriented, safety-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities.


Work Environment and Requirements

  • Work performed in office, shop, and field environments, including outdoors.
  • Occasional travel
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs., climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.
  • Must be able to pass required drug test, background check and physical fit for duty test.


Salary: $65,000+ (based on experience)
