FIDUCIARY LITIGATION ASSOCIATE (HYBRID)
Staubus, Blankenship, Legere & Walker, PLLC, is a boutique litigation firm in Dallas, Texas. Our busy practice focuses on the fast-growing practice area of fiduciary litigation, contested guardianships, will contests, and probate and trust litigation. The position allows remote work on Mondays and Fridays when case requirements permit. We have a great firm culture and work as a team.
Position Overview:
You will be responsible for courtroom hearings, taking and defending depositions, conducting supporting legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, and representing clients in negotiations and mediation. This position offers an immediate and substantial role in contested probate and trust proceedings with an established fiduciary litigation boutique.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct legal research and analysis on contested guardianship, breaches of fiduciary duties, will contests, and probate and trust matters
Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
Draft and respond to written discovery
Assist in the preparation of cases for trial
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts
Attend court hearings, depositions, other legal proceedings, and trial
Collaborate with experienced senior attorneys to develop case strategies.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Admission to the Texas State Bar in good standing
3 – 10 years of experience in civil litigation
Probate, estate, and trust and/or family law litigation preferred, but not required
Strong legal research and writing skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
