Fiber Splicer

Fiber Splicer (Contract-to-Hire) | Atlanta, GA (10 Openings)

Pay: $35.00–$45.00/hour (based on experience/tech level)

Duration: 6 weeks–2 months contract (potential to convert to permanent)

Schedule: First Shift — Mon–Thu (10–12 hour days), Fri & Sat (8 hour days)

What You’ll Do

• Read and understand splice records and perform fiber splicing in accordance with those records
• Pull and splice OSP high-count fiber optic cables
• Terminate and breakout outside fiber
• Furcate large strand count fiber (3456–6912)
• Perform break fixes, troubleshoot issues, and interpret splice records and blueprints
• Assist the project team with installation activities as needed
• Read and interpret floor plans, drawings, specifications, and cut sheets
• Apply knowledge of materials and methodologies used in structured cabling system installation
• Maintain job site organization and basic housekeeping (materials, tools, debris, and hazard awareness)
• Maintain compliance with customer security requirements
• Exhibit a professional appearance and behavior
• Complete additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

• OSHA 10 (required)
• Proven ability to splice fiber using splice records and related documentation
• Experience working with OSP high-count fiber optic cabling
• Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and splice records
• Strong troubleshooting skills (break fixes, read/validate records)
• Safety-first mindset and ability to follow worksite policies
