We’re supporting a major, mission‑critical data center build in New Albany, OH and are ramping up 100+ Fiber Technicians immediately. This is a large‑scale project with rolling starts, heavy hours, and strong per diem—ideal for techs looking to lock in consistent work quickly.
We plan to onboard ~20 technicians every Monday for the next several weeks, with the first start date on 4/13.
Schedule Requirements
- Open to 7 days/week
- 12‑hour shifts
- Day and night shifts available
Compensation & Per Diem
Hourly rates are finalized after interview and leveling by the hiring team. We can advocate for your target rate but cannot confirm pay until an offer is extended.
- Fiber Splicer Technician II: $26.00 – $35.00/hr
- Fiber Splicer Technician III: $34.00/hr and up
- Per Diem: $200/day
Fiber Splicer Technician II – Qualifications
- Independently install fiber and copper cabling
- Perform single‑fiber and ribbon‑fiber terminations, including splicing and patching
- Read and interpret construction prints
- Install ladder rack, basket tray, J‑hooks, and related supports in data center environments
- Perform grounding, bonding, and testing
- Label cables per data center standards
- Perform OTDR and power meter testing
- Identify failed fibers
- Capture and save test results using various testing equipment
- Maintain and submit clean, accurate documentation to management
Fiber Splicer Technician III – Qualifications
- Expert‑level support of ISP fiber and copper structured cabling, including terminations, assembly, and dressing
- Advanced OTDR trace interpretation
- Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, including:
- Cabling media and connectivity
- Hot aisle / cold aisle containment
- Cabinet airflow and cabling capacity
- Understanding of data center secondary power coordination
- Complete redline drawings, validate test results, and prepare final project deliverables
- Manage high‑density fiber systems
- Direct daily crew activities
- Train and mentor Tech I and Tech II personnel
- Ensure production targets and quality standards are met
- Proactively escalate risks to management
- Lead by example while enforcing safety, performance, and conduct standards
- Coordinate and oversee subcontractor crews in support of the Project Management team
