Our client in the telecommunications industry (Fiber/OSP) is in search of an experienced Installation & Repair Inspector (Fiber/OSP) on a contract basis to join their growing fiber network organization.
This position is based in Orlando, FL and candidates must live in or near the Orlando market. Candidates must have experience managing large scale fiber deployment/outside plant projects.

Position Summary:
The Installation and Repair Inspector is responsible for inspecting, evaluating, and ensuring the quality and compliance of installation and repair work performed on equipment, systems, or infrastructure. This role verifies that all work meets safety standards, operational requirements, company policies, and applicable regulatory codes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect completed and in-progress installation and repair work to ensure compliance with specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Review work orders, blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Identify defects, non-compliance issues, and safety hazards; document findings and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with technicians, contractors, and supervisors to resolve deficiencies.
- Verify materials, tools, and methods used meet approved standards.
- Perform field inspections and functional tests of equipment and systems.
- Maintain accurate inspection records, reports, and compliance documentation.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local codes and regulations.
- Support audits, investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
- Previous experience in installation, repair, maintenance, inspection, or quality assurance.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, inspection procedures, and industry standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficient with inspection tools and reporting systems.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as required.

Pay Range: $45/HR depending on experience. The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
