JOB SUMMARY
Under general supervision, the Family and Provider Activities Specialist (responsible for planning and coordinating events/Trainings for families and providers) of the Muckleshoot CCDF Program.
MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan, coordinate, and implement workshops/trainings for child care providers designed to improve the quality of care, enhance the ability and capability of care to effectively meet the needs of the children/familiesPlan, coordinate, and implement workshops/trainings/events to build families’ capacity for becoming involved in improving their child’s development and school readiness skills. Develop timelines, logistics plans, and promotional strategies to ensure successful participation. Oversee event setup, facilitation, and post event follow-up activities. Coordinate venue reservations, vendors, presenters, and material needed for events.Develop events that support family involvement in early childhood development and learning.Receives, attends to, interprets, and responds to verbal messages and expresses information to individuals or groups effectively.Creates a monthly newsletter containing pertinent information regarding, children, families, and child care. To include child care topics, health and safety information, upcoming events offered by the CCDF program,Responsible for purchasing, organizing, and distributing, health supplies for child care providers, quarterly learning supplies to support out of school learning for all students. Assist with the development of outreach materials and informational resources for families and providers. Prepare reports on event outcomes and recommendations for improvements. Because of the Tribe's commitment to community service and the well-being of its members, each employee may be expected to perform a wide range of office and field duties from time to time.
