Summary:

Applying an agency model approach, strategically collaborate with internal teams to create and then lead the implementation and coordination of marketing initiatives for Foundation educational programs, products, and services. This position will specialize in creative copywriting while playing a critical role in communicating the Foundation brand, mission, and services to targeted audiences.

  • Lead the tactical marketing execution of assigned programs and services by planning and managing promotional campaigns. This encompasses the entire marketing campaign lifecycle, including campaign development, project coordination, copywriting, email marketing, media planning, behavioral-based marketing management, website management, social media activities, and overseeing graphic design and the creative process.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to execute a fully integrated multi-channel marketing approach to set up email campaign workflows, segmentation, lead nurturing and drip campaigns to support the organization’s overall goals and objectives.
  • Support product positioning and creative copy development. In collaboration with the communications team, help ensure the quality, accuracy and consistency of promotional messaging to freshen and strengthen the Foundation brand as a leader in professional development education.
  • Perform prospecting efforts to grow the Foundation’s database through both customer intelligence platforms and grassroot efforts. Research and identify new potential customers and reengagement strategies for continued growth and conversion of these leads into members.
  • Utilizing the Foundation’s email service provider, support the marketing initiatives with creative and cleanly built email communications. Leverage the Foundation’s customer database to target communications effectively and manage a product’s marketing communication campaigns as assigned.
  • Track and analyze ROI and KPIs of marketing programs and campaigns and make recommendations for improvement while using both on-line and off-line data to identify trends and provide actionable recommendations for marketing campaign improvements and workflow developments.
  • Support the broader business development team in market research, data analysis, identifying growth opportunities, member engagement initiatives, tradeshow/event participation and fostering relationships with key industry stakeholders and influencers.


Supervisory Responsibilities:
No formal supervisory responsibilities; however, incumbent may be required to train/mentor more junior staff members.

Requirements

Required Education/ Experience:
The International Foundation will always consider candidates with an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or a related field with at least three (3) years of successful marketing communications, advertising, copywriting or public relations experience is required. Agency experience is a plus.
  • Marketing writing experience is required with demonstrated proficiency in all types of marketing communications.
  • Must know the terminology concepts of direct marketing and have an excellent command of current office software.
  • This individual must understand integrated database programs such as CRM. Knowledge of other analytical tools is a plus.
  • The successful candidate will possess a demonstrated understanding of direct marketing, email marketing, online marketing and digital/interactive media.
  • Knowledge of employee benefits is a plus.


Minimum Qualifications/Skills:

  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and manage marketing campaigns across several cross-functional teams is required.
  • A successful candidate will be a team player, an excellent communicator (both oral and written), be self-motivated, and able to multi-task while working in a diverse business environment.
  • To perform this job effectively, candidates must be creative and possess excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong computer literacy with a strong background in Word, Excel and database marketing is also required.


Travel Requirements:
This position may intermittently require that the individual travel for work; but only up to 10% of the time.


Work Environment:
This position is expected to work from our corporate headquarters office in Brookfield, WI, Monday through Friday of each week. This is an office environment with typical office conditions, including lighting, noise, seating and equipment. Following a successful training period (and pending each individual's ability to effectively work from an appropriately-equipped home office, per the terms of the Hybrid Work Policy) incumbents may permitted to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays, as business needs allow, in up-to a 60/40 (onsite/remote) hybrid schedule. The Foundation reserves the right to modify or discontinue the current hybrid schedule at any time as business needs dictate.

The base salary for this exempt-level position starts at $50,000/year, based on experience.
