Description
Fortney Companies, Inc. has an immediate opening for a full-time, Facilities Maintenance Manager. The Facilities Maintenance Manager is responsible for all general maintenance and enhancements to properties owned and operated by Fortney Companies in the La Crosse area. Responsibilities may include cleaning, painting, floor finishing, snow removal, outdoor maintenance, light electrical or plumbing, etc. for all rental and retail spaces as well as coordinating with vendors when greater needs arise. Salary - $55,000/year

Requirements
Requirements:
- Ability to work in multiple aspects of building and landscape maintenance.
- Ability to work in varied climate conditions
- Work independently with little supervision and maintain efficient work schedules
- Willingness to adjust to changes in expectations, processes and tasks as priority needs arise
- Ability to develop professional relationships with service providers and contractors
- Some travel required
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Organizational skills to manage schedules, maintenance routines, and vendor relations effectively
- Experience with workplace safety, sanitation protocols, and building code compliance
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address facility-related challenges
- Ability to lead and collaborate with a team, ensuring effective communication and coordination on maintenance needs
- Proficiency in basic budgeting and expense tracking
- Prior facilities management experience, particularly in a food service or hospitality setting
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional relevant certifications are a plus
