Overview

Talent Groups is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Specialist to support the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of commercial building systems and facilities. This role is ideal for a hands on facilities professional with strong troubleshooting abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.


The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining building systems, coordinating repairs and facility improvement projects, supporting preventive maintenance programs, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support the maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and operation of commercial building systems, equipment, machinery, and facilities.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues involving building infrastructure, mechanical systems, and facility equipment.
  • Assist with planning, budgeting, and scheduling facility modifications, upgrades, and improvement projects.
  • Prepare estimates for labor, equipment, materials, and project related costs.
  • Evaluate maintenance operations and recommend process improvements, efficiency enhancements, and cost saving opportunities.
  • Conduct routine inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify unsafe conditions and maintenance needs.
  • Monitor and support fire and life safety systems to ensure proper operation and compliance.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and vendors to complete maintenance and repair activities.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, regulations, company policies, and safe work practices.
  • Support a clean, safe, and productive facility environment.


Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent secondary education.
  • Two to four years of facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or related experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing commercial building systems and equipment.
  • Strong understanding of facility operations, preventive maintenance, and workplace safety practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret maintenance documentation, procedures, and technical information.
  • Excellent organizational and problem solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and effectively manage multiple responsibilities.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting commercial office, industrial, manufacturing, or corporate facilities.
  • Knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and fire life safety systems.
  • Experience working with external contractors and service providers.
