Job Summary:

Supports a facility through management of projects and contracts related to maintenance and improvement of electrical, structural, and mechanical systems. Performs activities under minimal supervision.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Manages construction and facility projects including design development, contractors, project pricing, planning, scheduling, ordering and tracking. Initiates communication to consult with electrical, structural, mechanical contract engineers to develop construction projects. Coordinates and manages projects with the site management leaders, including the plant managers. Develops project requirements based on the needs of the facility, including space allocations, infrastructural needs, etc. Ensures that projects and facilities meet state and local building codes. Directs updates to the building drawings as needed. Maintains safe and effective facilities and building systems. Performs problem solving, creative technical and analytical work, budget management and hands-on applications. Manages own work and maintains a flexible schedule in order to meet the demands of priority work. Directs the work of the facility drafter as needed.

Facilities Design and Development - Plans and manages the design of facilities considering the requirements and needs of owners and occupants of the facility; manages and supports site construction activities in compliance to building standards.

Facilities Maintenance - Assesses the condition of the facility including its systems, structure, interiors, exteriors and grounds; manages facility operations and maintenance activities; develops and operates asset management systems for Preventative Maintenance's that uses criticality analysis, predictive tools and prioritization.

Facilities Operation - Manages occupant services (parking, janitorial services, food services, concierge, facility helpdesk, security and safety); manages the maintenance contracting process; develops and manages the facility’s operational planning requirements (temperature control, lighting, equipment replacement, water treatment and so forth).

Facility Electrical Technical - Troubleshoots, repairs, and installs Electrical distribution systems, buss bars, breaker boxes, motors and other electrical equipment to enable the facility to operate properly with lights and electricity provided to the production activities.

Facility Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning Technical - Troubleshoots, repairs, and installs heating equipment, boilers, ventilations systems, chillers, cooling tower, air compressors and other mechanical equipment, in order to provide heating or cooling as needed to the facility, people and processes of producing products as needed.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

Experience:
