Extrusion Machine Operator

Join our team as a Machine Operator where you will be responsible for setting up and running foam extruders, interpreting specifications, and ensuring that finished parts meet customer expectations. You will use various measuring devices to assure quality and set up computerized blending systems to match recipe requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate two foam extruders.
• Interpret specifications and ensure finished parts meet customer expectations.
• Use calipers, tape measures, rulers, OD tape measures, and other measuring devices to assure quality.
• Set up computerized blending systems to match recipe requirements.
• Direct assigned packaging associates on quality items to look for and pieces per box.
• Instruct packers on how to interpret the specification sheet.
• Record and document extruder and finished product data accurately.

• Experience in machine operating and extrusion processes.
• Attention to detail.
• Above average math and communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Good time management skills.

• Prior foam extrusion experience is preferred.
• Prior forklift experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret product drawings (spec sheets) and digital calipers.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and other shifts temporarily if necessary.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
