Position Summary:
They are are seeking a Sous Chef who excels in a fast-paced kitchen and consistently delivers high-quality dishes. The ideal candidate communicates effectively, works well with the team, solves problems creatively, and contributes to a positive and safe work environment.
Responsibilities & Skills
- Strong knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen procedures
- Supports kitchen leadership and overall kitchen management
- Creativity in culinary execution and presentation
- Excellent time-management and decision-making abilities
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and adapt as needed
- Attention to detail and strong hand-eye coordination
- Familiarity with industry best practices
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Culinary training is a plus
- Kitchen and banquet experience preferred but not required
Qualifications
- ServSafe Certification preferred; must obtain within first 6 months of employment
- Previous experience in cooking, customer service, or kitchen operations preferred
- Must be available nights, weekends, and holidays
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Ability to stay alert and attentive throughout shift
- Able to stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach for extended periods
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs without assistance
- Basic math skills required
