Full-Time Executive Legal Assistant – Downtown Seattle Law Firm
The Blankenship Law Firm, PLLC, an established AV-rated civil litigation firm located in downtown Seattle, is seeking a full-time Executive Legal Assistant to directly support the firm’s Managing Attorney.
The ideal candidate is reliable, highly organized, and possesses excellent communication skills. This individual will demonstrate professionalism, sound judgment, and pride in their work. The position requires the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and perform in a fast-paced legal environment. Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook are required.

Job Duties
- Provide executive-level support to the firm’s Managing Attorney, including assistance with both professional and personal obligations.
- Assist attorneys and paralegals with delegated tasks such as file organization, drafting basic legal documents, and preparing materials for meetings, depositions, and hearings.
- Provide clerical and logistical support, including client communication and tracking case events and deadlines.
- Maintain the firm’s calendar, including scheduling appointments, case meetings, and deadlines.
- Prepare meeting agendas and maintain detailed notes from meetings, phone calls, and case discussions.
- Assist with administrative and business operations tasks, including basic accounting support.
- Coordinate with IT support to address technology issues as needed.
- Answer incoming calls and screen potential client inquiries.
- Perform additional tasks as needed, including occasional errands such as ordering or picking up breakfast or lunch for the Managing Attorney.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal certification preferred, but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive matters.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- High level of technological proficiency.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy.
- Ability to meet deadlines and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects.
- Proactive approach to prioritizing deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to propose solutions and ideas.
- Positive team-oriented attitude and strong work ethic.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Professional Suite.
- Willingness to learn new software systems and adapt to different online and network-based tools.
- Flexibility to work overtime, including evenings or weekends when necessary.
Ideal Candidate Will Also Have
- Previous experience working in a law office.
- Working knowledge of Federal and Washington State Court rules and procedures.
- Experience with legal software such as Ipro Eclipse or similar platforms.
- Legal research experience, including familiarity with Westlaw or comparable research tools.
