The Executive Assistant to the Chief Merchandising Officer (CMO) serves as a highly trusted administrative and operational partner supporting the leadership, organization, and effectiveness of PriceSmart’s global merchandising organization.
This role requires a proactive, highly organized individual capable of managing complex priorities across multiple countries, functions, and leadership teams. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong business acumen, and brings exceptional attention to detail, communication, and follow-through.
This individual will play a critical role in helping the CMO and merchandising leadership team operate effectively by coordinating priorities, improving organization and planning, supporting key initiatives and events, and ensuring strong execution across administrative and operational activities.
What You'll Do
Executive Support & Prioritization
- Provide day-to-day support to the Chief Merchandising Officer, including proactive calendar management across multiple countries, time zones, and business priorities
- Coordinate meetings, leadership reviews, and key business rhythms to ensure alignment with organizational priorities
- Proactively identify scheduling conflicts, preparation needs, and priority trade-offs
- Help maintain visibility to upcoming deadlines, deliverables, travel, and leadership commitments
- Prepare and organize presentations, meeting materials, agendas, and supporting documents
- Ensure a high degree of confidentiality, professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment in all interactions and communications
Travel, Expenses & Administrative Coordination
- Coordinate complex domestic and international travel arrangements, itineraries, and logistics
- Prepare and process expense reports and reimbursement requests in a timely and accurate manner
- Assist with department budget coordination and expense tracking
- Ensure office and meeting support needs are effectively managed, including supplies, meeting setup, catering, and facilities coordination
Merchandising Organization Coordination & Business Operations Support
- Assist with coordination of key merchandising leadership team priorities, planning cycles, and deliverables
- Help track business commitments, timelines, follow-ups, and organizational action items
- Support preparation and organization of recurring merchandising leadership meetings, business reviews, and offsites
- Assist with coordination and consolidation of merchandising department planning, forecasting, and G&A tracking activities
- Help improve visibility and organization around key priorities and upcoming business milestones
- Partner closely with merchandising leaders and cross-functional teams to support effective communication and execution
Vendor Summit & Event Coordination
- Support planning and execution of vendor summits, leadership meetings, and merchandising events
- Coordinate logistics, timelines, communications, meeting materials, and budget tracking
- Partner cross-functionally to ensure strong execution and follow-through for both virtual and in-person events
Reporting, Analytics & Presentation Support
- Conduct analysis, research, reporting support, and preparation of business materials and presentations as requested
- Support development and organization of recurring reports, trackers, and leadership updates
- Assist with gathering, organizing, and formatting data and business information
- Maintain organized templates, trackers, files, and documentation to support merchandising leadership workflows
Who You Are
Experience
- 5+ years of experience supporting senior executives in a complex corporate environment
- Experience supporting large cross-functional and/or international organizations preferred
- Retail, merchandising, consumer products, or supply chain industry experience preferred
- Experience coordinating executive meetings, travel, budgets, and large-scale events preferred

- Strong business acumen and ability to work with confidential business and financial information
- Proactive, resourceful, and execution-oriented mindset
- Bilingual Spanish/English Preferred
Technical Skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams
- Comfortable working with reporting tools, trackers, budgets, and data organization
- Ability to quickly learn new systems and tools
