Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an Environmental Services Technician (EVS) Tech, you will provide critical environmental services and meticulous attention to cleanliness, ensuring a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Every day you will expertly clean and disinfect patient rooms, common areas, and high-touch surfaces, manage waste disposal, operate specialized equipment, and meticulously follow infection control protocols to maintain impeccable standards.

  • Demonstrates ability to assess/interpret age specific data.
  • Encourages involvement of patient/family/significant other in decision making related to plan of care.
  • Performs cleaning and/or isolation procedures of patient care areas; prepares room for new occupants and follow standards precautions. Performs cleaning of non patient care areas.
  • Dusts furniture, woodwork, equipment and dust mops, wet mops, and vacuums floors.
  • Completes high dusting of all ceiling objects, wall objects and horizontal surfaces following departmental procedures.
  • Collects and disposes of trash and linen; relines containers and ensures cleanliness of containers.

Job Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous healthcare experience preferred.
