Event Operations Assistant @ Taurusroad Creative House
Part-Time | On-Site
Location: Jackson, MI
Hours: ~20 hours/week
Schedule: Flexible — events and bookings occur at various times throughout the day and evening
Start Date: Summer 2026
Taurusroad Creative House is downtown Jackson’s only boutique creative space. Located in a historic building and beautifully designed & renovated space on Michigan Ave where photographers shoot, businesses meet, and life gets celebrated. We host photo studio rentals, private events, corporate meetings, and everything in between. We’re looking for a kind, welcoming, and very organized person to support the day-to-day of our space. From managing bookings and coordinating with vendors to being the face our clients see when they walk through the door.
You'll be an essential part of how Taurusroad runs day to day. Our space hosts photo shoots, corporate meetings, private events, and everything in between. It's your job to make sure every session runs smoothly, the space looks beautiful, and every client feels taken care of.
Flexibility is essential. Events and bookings occur at various times of day and evening, and your schedule will shift accordingly. This is an on-site role — not remote.

- Assist with event setup, layout configuration, and teardown
- Ensure the space is clean, organized, and client-ready before and after every session
- Handle quick turnovers between back-to-back bookings

- Support internal workflows, communications, and team operations as needed
What We're Looking For
- A people-first mindset — warm, professional, and genuinely great with clients and guests
- Strong organizational skills and serious attention to detail
- A self-starter who takes initiative and gets things done without being asked
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment where the energy and schedule shift throughout the day
- Must be available for flexible hours — events and bookings occur at various times throughout the day, evenings, and occasional weekends
- Ability to manage multiple tasks calmly and efficiently
- Comfortable with basic tech tools — booking software, Google Workspace, Slack, Outlook Email, and general communication platforms
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
- Prior experience in hospitality, events, retail, or studio operations is a plus but not required
What You'll Get
- A paid permit parking space near the studio
- Access to a work laptop OR iPad and tech tools on-site
- A thoughtful, supportive team that values what you bring to the table
- A chance to be part of something meaningful being built in the heart of downtown Jackson
