A highly regarded Florida-based law firm is seeking an experienced Estate & Probate Paralegal to join its Tampa office. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented legal professional with strong Florida probate experience who enjoys complex estate administration, court filings, client communication, and independent case management.
This role will support sophisticated estate and probate matters across Florida and will require someone who can manage deadlines, draft and file probate documents, communicate clearly with attorneys, clients, and court personnel, and maintain a high level of accuracy and professionalism.

Schedule: 5 days onsite
Compensation: $85,000 - $95,000 base salary
About the Role
The Estate & Probate Paralegal will play a key role in supporting attorneys with complex probate, estate, trust administration, tax-related filings, guardianship, and related corporate and real estate matters. The ideal candidate will bring strong probate drafting and filing experience, knowledge of Florida court procedures, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage matters independently from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, organize, and maintain probate files.
- Draft, revise, and file probate documents, including petitions, orders, inventories, accountings, and related pleadings.
- File estate and probate documents across Florida courts, including matters involving multiple jurisdictions.
- Track court deadlines and ensure filings are completed accurately and on time.
- Monitor probate proceedings and provide timely updates to attorneys.
- Maintain knowledge of Florida probate court rules, procedures, and individual court filing requirements.
- Communicate with clients, attorneys, court personnel, and other parties regarding case status and administration matters.
- Assist with IRS filings and related procedures, including estate and gift tax forms such as IRS Forms 706, 709, and 1023.
- Support trust administration matters and prepare client correspondence.
- Assist with guardianship matters, as needed.
- Prepare corporate documents, including entity formation documents for corporations, LLCs, partnerships, family entities, transfers of ownership interests, resolutions, and equity or stock ledgers.
- Prepare deeds and other real estate-related documents.
- Manage electronic case files and maintain accurate records.
- Track and bill time to client files.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience required.
- Minimum of 5 years of law firm administrative or paralegal experience required.
- 10+ years of probate paralegal experience strongly preferred.
- Florida trust and estates experience preferred.
- Experience filing probate documents in Florida courts strongly preferred.
- Large law firm experience preferred.
- Florida Registered Paralegal certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of estate, probate, trust administration, and related court procedures.
