Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bedford, MA for an experienced Estate Planning Attorney. The selected candidate will provide comprehensive legal counsel to individuals and families in regard succession planning, probate avoidance, sophisticated estate planning strategies to minimize tax liability and ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations. The role involves advising clients, drafting and reviewing estate planning documents, collaboration with our estate planning, real estate and business attorneys and managing estate administration and probate processes.


Qualifications

  • Expertise in Estate and Succession Planning and Estate Administration
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication, advisory, and interpersonal skills
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree and current bar admission in Massachusetts
  • Ability to work independently in an on-site professional setting


Salary commensurate with experience


Responsibilities

  • Provide high level understanding and experience drafting a full range of estate planning documents
  • Experience with planning for high-net-worth individuals and families, minimizing gift and estate tax
  • Communicate with clients in person, by phone, Zoom and email
  • Draft & file probate documents, attend hearings with the probate court as necessary
  • Enjoy being a team player, work hard and enjoy life


Qualifications/Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in advising clients on estate planning and tax avoidance / minimizing techniques
  • Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail; able to work independently; and possess excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate planning for business owners with real estate/business counsel and financial consultants
  • License to practice law in MA (NH a plus)
  • Ability to comfortably commute to Bedford, MA
