Position Overview

The Health, Safety and Environmental Manager is a creative leader and strategic driver who will design, develop, and champion a best-in-class HSE program across all Spotless Brands locations. Essential Functions (Other Duties as Assigned)

  • Leads the full lifecycle of HSE project development and project management — from concept and planning through execution, measurement, and continuous improvement of safety programs and initiatives across the organization.
  • Supports development and leads execution of the overall health, safety, and environmental strategy.
  • Plans, implements, and delivers engaging preventative care, safety, and compliance training programs that resonate with teams.
  • Conducts brand, district, and site-level safety meetings, audits, and inspections; drives corrective actions with urgency and creativity.
  • Provides expert guidance to the management team on health, safety, and environmental issues while ensuring full compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for regulatory matters, including timely and thorough responses to OSHA, EPA, and other agency inquiries, inspections, and citations.


Education and Experience

Required:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in any field or an associate degree in Health, Safety, or Environmental (HSE).
  • At least four years of experience in a workplace safety leadership role in a dynamic, fast-paced, multi-site environment.
  • Expert knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations with proven success developing and implementing compliance programs and responding to regulatory inquiries.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional projects and managing them from start to finish.
  • Experience coaching and training personnel across multiple locations.
  • Knowledgeable in the operation, configuration, and utilization of remote monitoring systems.
  • Carwash or automotive safety experience highly preferred.



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, SharePoint) and Smartsheet project management software
  • Self-starter who excels working independently in a remote environment.
  • Excellent analytical, critical-thinking, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and connect with team members at all levels.
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) written and oral communication a plus.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, twist, perform repetitive motions, and see variations in color.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and on-call hours.
  • Comfortable being active outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Fifty percent travel required. Must possess a valid driver’s license and the physical ability to drive for job-related travel.
