About the Role

We are looking for a proactive, hands-on Safety Manager to lead safety, health, and compliance programs across a large-scale greenhouse operation with locations in Ohio, Florida, and Colorado. This is an opportunity to make a visible impact by partnering with operations and human resources to strengthen safety culture, support regulatory compliance, and help create a safe, efficient workplace across production, shipping, maintenance, transportation, and related functions.

What You’ll Do

• Lead safety, health, and environmental programs across multiple operating locations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for OSHA inspections, reporting, and follow-up.
• Conduct audits, inspections, incident investigations, and corrective action tracking.
• Develop and maintain safety policies, procedures, training materials, and compliance documentation.
• Deliver new-hire training and ongoing safety education for diverse and multilingual teams.
• Oversee PPE programs, safety supplies, and other critical safety resources.
• Manage high-risk programs, including chemical safety, respiratory protection, fit testing, and confined space entry.
• Partner on incident response, workers’ compensation claims, and return-to-work coordination.
• Coach leaders and employees on safe work practices and continuous improvement.
• Track safety metrics, support safety committees, and help drive accountability and recognition.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in safety science, occupational health, environmental science, engineering, industrial hygiene, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 2-4+ years of safety leadership or coordination experience in manufacturing, agriculture, greenhouse, or other industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, compliance programs, and incident prevention best practices.
• Experience with confined space entry, respiratory protection, and other high-risk safety programs.
• Experience leading workplace investigations, supporting workers’ compensation processes, and coordinating return-to-work activities.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to lead training for diverse and multilingual teams.
• Supervisory experience and professional safety certifications such as CSP are preferred.
• Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.

Schedule and Travel

This role primarily follows a day shift schedule of 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with flexibility to support occasional night reviews and monthly night-shift oversight. Travel is limited.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this position is $95,000 to $105,000, along with an approximate bonus and benefits value of 18%.

Work Environment

This position includes a mix of office and field-based work within a large greenhouse and operational environment. The role requires regular movement throughout the facility, clear communication, and occasional physical activity such as walking, climbing stairs, lifting up to 20 pounds, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
