So far, the primary reason for rejection has been lack of FP&A exposure. Many candidates are technically strong but do not have experience supporting finance teams (budgeting, forecasting, financial analytics), which is a key requirement for the client.
We are specifically missing profiles that blend both advanced technical capabilities and finance domain knowledge. Pure data engineers or delivery-focused profiles without hands-on work in financial environments are not moving forward.
Ideal profiles should demonstrate:
· Experience working with FP&A teams or financial datasets
· Hands-on delivery in data engineering (SQL, Snowflake, etc.)
· Ability to engage with stakeholders, including senior leadership
· Strong end-to-end ownership in data and analytics solutions
Full technical expectations include:
· 20–25 years of IT experience
· 8–10 years in data platform architecture (ML, Big Data, Snowflake, SQL, etc.)
· 5+ years working with data integration across multiple sources
· 3+ years of AWS experience
Nice to have:
· Informatica IICS
· ETL for high-volume data
· Power BI
