Recruitment Number 25-272KS,Engineer V, SR-26D($6,535 per month) to SR-26L ($8,945 per month), Honolulu, Oahu.The starting salary may be at a rate between the minimum to maximum salary range listed above, based on qualifications.

Note: This position is also posted as Architect V (Recruitment No. 25-271KS) and Capital Improvement Project Coordinator (Recruitment No. 26-014).The Engineer V performs difficult professional engineering work in coordinating the planning, design, construction, maintenance, and operation of major and complex planning, design and construction projects; prepares and coordinates the preparation of designs, plans, specifications, estimate and reports; and performs other duties as required. Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with engineers, architects, contractors, administrative officials and the general public.Education: Graduation from an accredited four (4) year college or university with a bachelor’s degree in engineering in an engineering specialty; or an equivalent combination of education and experience in engineering work which satisfies the requirements of the State of Hawaii’s Board of Professional Engineers, Architects, Surveyors, and Landscape Architects.

Specialized Experience:One (1) year of registered professional engineering experience.

License Requirements:
  1. A valid and current driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle, and
  2. Possession of a valid State of Hawaii Civil, Electrical, Mechanical or Structural Professional Engineer license at the time of application.
