The firm is seeking an ambitious Employment Attorney in Houston, TX who is interested in transitioning into employment law. Candidates coming from any civil litigation background are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Handle all phases of employment litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal memoranda
• Conduct legal research and case analysis
• Participate in depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial preparation
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and witnesses
• Assist with wage & hour, discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and wrongful termination matters
• Collaborate closely with partners and litigation teams on complex employment cases
• Manage case deadlines and maintain organized case files

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Licensed and in good standing with the Texas Bar or eligible for admission
• 1+ years of civil litigation experience preferred

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between [$200,000 – $225,000 annually]. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
