Job Title: Assembler II – Electrical Assembler

Weekly Pay $22-24.00/hr

1st Shift: 8AM-5PM

Job Description

The Electrical Assembler performs repetitive bench or line assembly operations to build customized products according to customer specifications. This role uses hand tools, power tools, microscopes, and assembly equipment to assemble and test mechanical and electronic components accurately and efficiently, ensuring all products meet established quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repetitive bench and line assembly operations to build customized electrical and electronic products according to customer specifications.
  • Carry out conformal coating processes as part of the assembly line to protect circuit boards and components.
  • Perform through-hole soldering on circuit boards and other electronic assemblies using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Prepare circuit boards for various tests and quality checks, ensuring all components are correctly installed and ready for inspection.
  • Test finished goods using established procedures, record testing data accurately, and analyze results to confirm products meet quality standards.
  • Maintain and calibrate testing equipment and methods to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
  • Work under a microscope to perform detailed assembly and inspection tasks, particularly for through-hole and electronic components.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 2+ years of electrical assembly experience with through-hole components and soldering.
  • At least 1+ year of soldering and hand tool assembly experience with through-hole components.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions in English.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment used in electrical and electronic assembly.
  • Experience with through-hole soldering techniques on circuit boards.
  • Ability to work under a microscope for detailed electronic assembly and inspection.
  • Basic computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for data entry and documentation.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in following work instructions, assembly procedures, and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • US Documentation / ITAR Documents
  • IPC-A-610D Certification (preferred).
  • J-STD-001 Certification (preferred).

Work Environment

The facility is generally clean, well lit, and well ventilated, with a dirt- and dust-free production area that supports high-quality electronic assembly. The work is primarily bench-based, so you will spend most of your time seated while performing assembly and inspection tasks, often under a microscope. The environment is mostly quiet and laid back, although you may occasionally encounter noise from equipment and come into contact with oil and grease associated with production processes. Standard electronic assembly tools, test equipment, and computers with Microsoft Office are used regularly as part of day-to-day work.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
