Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Estimator / Project Manager to lead construction estimating and project execution from inception to completion. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage multiple projects, develop accurate cost estimates, and oversee construction activities ensuring they meet quality standards, budget constraints, and schedule deadlines. The ideal candidate will be energized by challenges, possess strong negotiation skills, and demonstrate a passion for delivering exceptional results in the construction industry.
Duties
Estimating
- Review drawings, specs, and bid documents
- Perform detailed takeoffs (labor, materials, equipment)
- Build accurate and competitive cost estimates
- Manage subcontractor/vendor pricing
- Identify risks, gaps, and value engineering opportunities
- Prepare proposals and support bid submissions
Project Support
- Assist with project kickoff and turnover
- Support procurement, submittals, and vendor coordination
- Track budgets and assist with cost control
- Coordinate with operations, vendors, and internal teams
- Help ensure smooth execution from award through completion
Projects include complex electrical systems, with a focus on:
- commercial and industrial electrical systems
- electrical construction and design build
- electrical service maintenance and site lighting
- phone and data cabling
- Commercial & institutional construction projects
Experience
- Proven experience in construction estimating with proficiency in Conest software tools.
- Strong background in construction management including site supervision and contract administration.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with clients and vendors to optimize project outcomes.
- Hands-on experience with cost control techniques, pricing strategies, and budget management in construction projects.
- Knowledge of construction site safety protocols and quality assurance practices.
- Familiarity with construction contracts, project management methodologies, and scheduling software is essential.
- Prior involvement in managing multiple projects simultaneously with excellent organizational skills.
