The Role
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer with 3–10 years of experience who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across all phases of design. You will work closely with firm leadership and have direct exposure to clients, projects, and decision-making.
This role is ideal for:
- A high-performing transitioning junior to mid-level designer/engineer ready to take on more responsibility, or
- A mid- to senior-level designer/engineer who still enjoys being directly involved in production and design.
Key Responsibilities
- Design electrical distribution systems including utility service coordination, main service equipment, metering, transformers, distribution boards, and branch circuit panels
- Perform load calculations and voltage drop calculations to support service and feeder sizing decisions
- Develop power riser diagrams, circuiting drawings, and panel schedules
- Design lighting systems including lighting fixture layouts, controls, emergency lighting, and circuiting
- Develop fire alarm system layouts including device placement, zoning, and riser diagrams
- Prepare construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD
- Perform investigative field surveys, attend project team coordination meetings, and construction site visits
- Coordinate with architects and other engineering disciplines, both internal and external
- Participate in all project phases including SD, DD, CD, and CA
Qualifications & Technical Skills
- 3–10 years of experience in electrical design for new construction and renovation projects
- Strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
- Experience across commercial, multifamily, hospitality, healthcare, and/or educational projects
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) is a plus
