This role is responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the installation of industrial electrical control systems. The Electrical Controls Engineer leads cross-functional teams to successfully execute engineering projects and provides hands-on support for troubleshooting and minimizing downtime across plant operations.

The position plays a key role in continuous improvement efforts by analyzing system performance, implementing technology upgrades, and ensuring effective communication and training for maintenance and operations teams.
Responsibilities
- Implement software and hardware updates driven by product changes, new equipment, or emerging technologies (20%)
- Analyze waste, quality, and downtime data to identify and prioritize system improvements (20%)
- Develop and maintain documentation; deliver training on electrical control systems and updates (20%)
- Provide plant-wide electrical troubleshooting and support to maintenance and operations teams (20%)
- Lead electrical project execution from concept through completion, including scope, design, budgeting, scheduling, and installation support (20%)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE or equivalent)
- 3–5 years of engineering experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of:
- PLC programming and logic
- Industrial communication networks
- Adjustable speed drives and motor controls
- Feedback and control systems
- Three-phase electrical systems
- Servo and positioning systems
- Experience with vision systems, particularly camera-based inspection and programming
- Proven project management experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with high-speed converting equipment
- Background in plant electrical and mechanical systems
- Knowledge of electro-mechanical systems and components
- Analytical troubleshooting experience
- Maintenance support experience in a manufacturing setting
