As the Election Assistant, you will support the City Clerk’s Office in administering election operations and providing high-quality service to voters and the community. This role plays a critical role in ensuring elections are conducted accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with statutory requirements, while delivering a positive, accessible experience for all voters.

This role is non-exempt and temporary, supporting the 2026 election cycle, with employment expected through November 13, 2026.

High school diploma or equivalent is required, along with at least one year of administrative, clerical, or office experience and two years of customer service or related experience. The position requires proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Pro, as well as strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. The ability to work independently, manage changing priorities, and meet deadlines during peak workloads is essential. A valid Minnesota driver’s license is required. The individual must be eligible to serve as an election judge and be available to work through November 13, 2026.
Experience working with elections or in a government setting is preferred.
