This is an onsite EHS Specialist (Environmental, Health, and Safety Specialist) role where you are employed by Trinity working onsite at a premier client research campus. This job description is representative.
Major Responsibilities
Gather and aggregate data/information for environmental compliance and sustainability reports to support performance reporting, benchmarking and regulatory requirements.
Drive continuous improvement of the environmental programs and assist in compliance and sustainability reviews of new projects.
Work effectively to manage & deliver projects in a team environment, including in-depth collaboration between SHE, Site Operations (Facilities, Engineering, Lab R&D Operations, Workplace Services)
Be a contributing member on the cross-functional Energy and Resources Management Team guiding the team towards efficient use of natural resources.
Analyze historical event data, leading indicators, and in-field observations and provide recommendations based upon analysis.
Develop and update environmental procedures. Develop, update and facilitate environmental training programs.
Assist with implementation of ISO14001 Environmental Management Program.
Perform environmental audits and inspections, including identification of non-compliance, non-conformities and corrective actions.
Complete environmental permit applications, regulatory reports & voluntary award applications to local, state and federal regulatory agencies or 3rd party entities
Oversee wastewater sampling, including review reports from wastewater contractor to ensure compliance with permit requirements.

Experience
Work effectively on multiple projects at once and respond to rapidly changing demands.
Knowledgeable of Federal, State, and industry Environmental regulations and sustainability trends.
Some prior experience and/or knowledge of building systems: boilers, air handling units, cooling towers, chillers, water purification equipment.
Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, within all levels of the organization.
Exercise judgment while being insightful, logical and methodical.
Microsoft Office (i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook) experience preferred.
Three or more years of applicable work experience
Educational Requirement
A bachelors degree in Engineering is required with Environmental or Chemical Engineering preferred.
Experience with chemical inventory and labeling.
Experience with waste management.
2 - 5 years of industry experience are required or consulting to industry with high preference given to Research & Development, biotech, biomedical, or related industries.
