Our Client, a well-established aerospace parts distributor and manufacturer based in the Los Angeles area, supplying electrical components, connectors, wire, and assemblies to the aerospace and defense industries for over 50 years, is seeking to hire a hands-on Business Central Developer to own and evolve the Microsoft Dynamics 365 BC environment across manufacturing, distribution, finance, purchasing, and operations.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain custom AL extensions, reports, dashboards, and system enhancements
- Lead design and documentation of custom ERP workflows — from requirements gathering through developer handoff, including full system specs for automated reservation engines and batch pick ticket generation
- Serve as the bridge between production operations and software development — translating floor-level inefficiencies into scalable ERP solutions
- Support manufacturing workflows — BOMs, routings, production orders, MRP, costing, and inventory
- Standardize and improve manufacturing process flows across the shop floor to reduce cycle time variability and improve routing accuracy
- Translate business requirements from operations, finance, and leadership into working ERP solutions
- Develop BI tools and KPI dashboards to improve visibility across the business
- Manage integrations between Business Central and third-party systems and Microsoft tools
- Apply Power Platform, Power Automate, and AI tools to automate manual processes
What You’ll Need
- Solid Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central development experience (AL programming required)
- Manufacturing ERP background — aerospace, defense, precision manufacturing, MRO, or similar regulated environment strongly preferred
- Familiarity with manufacturing concepts: BOMs, routings, MRP, job costing, traceability, lot/serial control
- Power BI experience a plus
- Knowledge of SQL, APIs, and integrations helpful
- AS9100 or compliance-oriented manufacturing experience is a bonus
