Drafter

As a Draughtsman with Heerema Marine Contractors, you will be a member of a project team dedicated to engineering offshore installation/removal solutions for a variety of structures for the Oil and Gas Industry, as well as the Renewables sector. In doing so, you will have a part in guiding the activities of some of the largest construction vessels in the world as we serve our Energy Clients globally.

Work will include:

• 3D modeling of new and existing structures utilizing MicroStation
• Providing visualization aids (sketches, 3D pdfs, etc.)
• Various CAD checks to guide the engineering effort (clash checks, dimensional checks, concept procedural steps, etc)
• Drafting of procedural steps
• Structural drafting of fabrications
• Material Take-Off
• Attendance of internal/external meetings for progress updates

Finally, travel offshore onto our construction vessels will allow you to see your designs "come to life". Tasks involved offshore follow closely those performed in the office, however can also include as-builting of project or vessel conditions. Close interface/communication with project team and crew is a must.

The work is exciting, yet can be fast paced and demanding. Thus the need for candidates who are high energy, pro-active and willing to flex into a multitude of roles and tasks.

Experience Requirements:

• Associate Degree in CAD/Drafting
• Excellent communication skills
• No prior experience required
