The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) is accepting applications for the position of Director of Streaming & Communications. The GLVC is a 15-member NCAA Division II athletic conference with headquarters in Indianapolis, IN. Applications will be reviewed until the position is filled.
Responsibilities: The Director will be expected to coordinate all facets of the GLVC Sports Network (GLVCSN), including the procurement, setup, and teardown of equipment, in-game production, staffing, and budgeting for 25 championships, as well as other selected league events (i.e., GLVC Football Kickoff, GLVC Spring Awards Reception, etc.). Additionally, this person will serve as the primary liaison with Hudl, the GLVC streaming rights partner. The Director will also be responsible for various sports information duties for the league’s 27 sports, including writing press releases, maintaining and updating the GLVC Website (GLVCsports.com), assisting with ideation of new conference PSAs, and other duties assigned by the Assistant Commissioner of Communications & Creative Content. In addition, the Director will be responsible for promoting Conference championships and work directly with select coaching groups. Regular night and weekend work will be needed, along with extensive travel required at various times during the year for select administrative meetings, championships, and other events.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, and must be able to work well with tight deadlines. Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred. Previous experience in athletics administration, digital streaming productions, collegiate sports publicity, or related field is required. Must have extensive knowledge of Hudl Production Truck and Microsoft Office software, as well as a familiarity with SIDEARM Sports CMS for website editing, social media platforms, and Adobe Photoshop and InDesign. Basic knowledge and familiarity with Mac OS also required.
Salary: Starting salary is expected to range from $45,000 to $48,000.
