Director of Pharmacy (PIC) – Behavioral Health

Specialty Medical Staffing is currently seeking a Director of Pharmacy (PIC) for an interim assignment at a behavioral health hospital in Kentucky.

Assignment Details

• Start: May 4
• End: June 19 (potential for extension)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday 7:30am – 4:00pm
• Weekend: Potential coverage starting May 30 (Sat/Sun 8:00am–12:00pm plus on-call)

Requirements

• Active Kentucky Pharmacist License in good standing
• Inpatient hospital experience required
• Experience with pharmacy setup and implementation required
• Experience with Omnicell and HCS preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead pharmacy operations and oversight
• Support full pharmacy buildout and go-live process
• System setup including HCS and Omnicell
• Medication ordering and inventory management
• Order verification and staffing support
• Policy development and hospital collaboration

Additional Information

• Behavioral health hospital setting
• No technician support initially (staffing in progress)
• Transitioning from external pharmacy services to in-house model
• Go-live targeted for late May
• Training provided for systems and site workflows
• No sterile compounding required
• Dress code: Business casual (scrubs TBD)
