ROLE OVERVIEW
The Director of Partnerships is a senior business development role responsible for identifying, cultivating, and closing strategic partnership and referral relationships that generate revenue and expand PMC's reach within the healthcare practice landscape. This role requires a blend of relationship acumen, healthcare industry awareness, and a results-driven approach to pipeline management. The Director works closely with PMC's principals on partnership strategy, pricing, and co-engagement structures while maintaining a high degree of autonomy over daily execution.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Partnership Development & Revenue Generation
• Identify, develop, and close strategic partnership and referral relationships that generate new client engagements or expand PMC's existing client base.
• Manage the full partnership pipeline from initial outreach through signed agreements and active engagement, maintaining meticulous records of all activity in PMC's designated tracking systems.
• Represent PMC to prospective partners, healthcare organizations, and professional networks with credibility and sophistication.
Strategic Collaboration
• Collaborate with PMC principals on partnership strategy, pricing models, and co-engagement structures to ensure alignment with firm-wide growth objectives.
• Contribute market intelligence and competitive insights to inform PMC's service positioning and go-to-market approach.
• Participate in periodic strategy sessions and pipeline reviews as determined by the collaboration cadence.
Compliance & Documentation
• Ensure all partnership development activities comply with applicable healthcare laws, including federal Anti-Kickback Statute and Stark Law provisions, as well as state-level fee-splitting and self-referral regulations.
• Maintain accurate, contemporaneous records of introductions, pipeline status, and relationship activity.
• Promptly disclose any conflicts of interest or existing engagements that could conflict with PMC's business.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
• Demonstrated success in healthcare business development, partnerships, or strategic sales, with a track record of closing multi-stakeholder deals.
• Deep familiarity with the medical practice landscape, including independent practices, physician groups, and ambulatory care organizations.
• Ability to navigate healthcare compliance frameworks (Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, state regulations) as they apply to business development activities.
• Exceptional relationship-building skills and a professional network within the healthcare services ecosystem.
• Self-directed work style with strong organizational skills and accountability for pipeline and revenue targets.
• Professional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to represent PMC at the executive level.
Preferred
• Experience working with or advising medical practices on revenue cycle management, practice operations, or growth strategy.
• Existing network of contacts among healthcare consultants, practice administrators, specialty societies, or healthcare technology vendors.
• Familiarity with practice management systems, EHR platforms, and the operational challenges facing smaller and mid-sized practices.
• Prior experience in a 1099 commission-based or independent contractor business development role.
