About the Role
This is a high-impact leadership opportunity in which you will hold 24-hour accountability for cardiovascular nursing departments, overseeing clinical, administrative, and financial operations. As a key change agent, you will cultivate strong physician partnerships, mentor the next generation of nurse leaders, and lead innovative programs—including VAD/LVAD and ECMO—that directly improve the lives of patients.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of cardiovascular nursing departments in alignment with organizational mission and applicable policies
• Lead and mentor nursing staff, fostering a culture of clinical excellence and professional growth
• Monitor and evaluate quality, patient satisfaction, and employee satisfaction outcomes, implementing data-driven improvement strategies
• Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Oversee administrative, financial, and clinical activities across assigned departments
Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution required
• Master's Degree in Nursing preferred (or commitment to obtain within 2 years)
• Current, unrestricted RN licensure per State Board of Nursing requirements
• LVAD/VAD and ECMO experience required — candidates without this experience will not be considered
• Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience, including at least 2 years in a management or leadership capacity (charge nurse, nurse manager, or director level)
