Anthony Marano Company, one of the most reputable produce distributors in the South East, is currently hiring for a full time & in person Director of Facilities role in Atlanta, Georgia.


We are seeking a highly organized Director of Facilities to oversee all facility operations, vendor relationships, maintenance coordination, construction projects, and equipment installations across the organization. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage multiple priorities, respond quickly to operational needs, and support facility functions during evenings, weekends, or emergency situations as needed.

Key Tasks

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of company facilities, garages, and maintenance operations
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance programs, facility repairs, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure buildings, grounds, utilities, and equipment remain safe, operational, and compliant
  • Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers, including sourcing materials, monitoring performance, and ensuring timely delivery
  • Negotiate pricing, service agreements, and project timelines
  • Coordinate contractors for facility repairs, equipment installations, and construction projects
  • Lead facility construction, renovation, and equipment installation projects
  • Partner with internal departments to schedule projects with minimal disruption to operations
  • Track project budgets, timelines, and deliverables
  • Ensure projects meet safety and operational requirements
  • Supervise facilities and maintenance staff, assigning priorities and overseeing daily work orders and maintenance activities
  • Ensure teams have the tools, equipment, and resources needed to perform effectively
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and safety
  • Order facility parts, maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment
  • Manage inventory levels and monitor purchasing costs
  • Respond to facility emergencies, equipment failures, and operational disruptions, including coordinating rapid response efforts when needed.
  • Provide after-hours support as needed, including nights, weekends, and holidays.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of facilities management, maintenance leadership, or operations experience
  • Strong vendor management and negotiation skills
  • Proficient with purchasing, work order systems, and inventory management
  • Experience managing construction or equipment installation projects with knowledge of building systems, maintenance operations, and safety procedures
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to work independently and perform effectively under pressure
  • Experience supervising maintenance or facilities personnel with a hands-on leadership approach\
  • Mechanical or technical aptitude
  • Flexible schedule and availability for emergency response
