A privately held transportation infrastructure company is looking for a senior engineering leader to take ownership of structural asset management across a large, multi-state rail network. This is a technical authority role with real organizational weight, direct regulatory interface, and capital planning responsibility.
The right person has spent their career in railroad bridge engineering and is ready to lead a program, not just contribute to one.
The Core of the Role
You will be the senior technical voice on all structural matters, including compliance with federal bridge safety and worker protection regulations, load rating approvals, rehabilitation project oversight, and emergency response. You will also own the long-range capital plan for structural assets and represent the company in industry and regulatory forums.
What We Are Looking For
Advanced degrees and Canadian PEng designation are a plus.
Practical Realities
This role requires regular field presence across the US and Canada, the ability to work at heights in all conditions, and availability on short notice. Travel is substantial.
