BACKGROUND
Global Partnerships (GP) is a non-profit impact-first fund manager dedicated to expanding opportunity for people living in poverty. Impact-first investing means investing in a way that seeks the greatest possible social impact, while seeking to preserve capital with a modest financial return for investors. GP believes that impact-first investing has an essential role to play in advancing sustainable solutions to poverty for millions of people worldwide.
GP supports social enterprises serving people living in poverty, primarily in Latin America and Sub-Saharan Africa. We ended fiscal year 2025 with a portfolio of over $180 million in outstanding investments to 86 social enterprise partners. Since inception, our funds’ investments have positively impacted more than 39 million lives.
Our mission-driven team operates primarily from Seattle, Bogotá, and Nairobi. Learn more at www.globalpartnerships.org.
ROLE OVERVIEW
Global Partnerships seeks a proactive, highly organized, and relationship-oriented Director of Development to drive pipeline advancement for prospective fund investors and philanthropic donors. Reporting to the Vice President of Investor Relations, this role ensures that GP’s growing volume of investor opportunities are strategically cultivated, thoughtfully engaged, and actively advanced.
This is an ideal role for a confident, values-aligned leader who thrives in process-driven environments, manages multiple concurrent workstreams with clarity and precision, communicates effectively both internally and externally, and takes pride in moving pipeline opportunities from interest to commitment.
The Director of Development is a new role at GP, coming in at a key moment as we aspire to diversify and materially expand GP’s base of support. This is neither a traditional fundraising role nor a purely investment capital-raising position; the Director will bring fluency and enthusiasm for both, helping prospects engage across GP’s full capital spectrum. The Director will be a trusted face of GP as we build new relationships with high-net-worth individuals. Success in this role will be measured by conversion of qualified prospects into high-value relationships for GP.
