Pay: $21.00-24.00/ hr

Schedule: Thursday-Monday (Saturday & Sunday included), 10am-6pm and/or 9am-5pm

As an Admissions Coordinator you will provide support to various aspects of our Health Center admissions process for skilled nursing by maintaining open, effective communication between the community and referral sources, physicians, visitors, family, etc. You will work closely with our Director of Business Development & Nurse Liaison by providing support through tours, interviewing resident/responsible parties. You will demonstrate attention to detail through obtaining and reviewing necessary paperwork, signatures, and other required documentation to ensure successful admissions into our health center. This position will also provide primary weekend coverage for our admissions team.

Who you are:

  • Working knowledge of Medicare Part A and certification procedures. 
  • Experience in a long-term care setting desired. 
  • Interpersonal skills, works well with multiple other teams and departments.
  • Must be proficient with computer, MS-Word, Outlook, Excel, and other office equipment.
  • High school/GED graduate.
  • Strong customer service and hospitality skills. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication required with ability to write business email correspondence.
  • Use your strong organizational skills to keep details and admissions in order as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities. 
  • FLU vaccine REQUIRED

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Physical effort is minimal. Seventy-five percent (75%) of the workday is spent sitting, standing intermittently, and bending. Must be able to lift and carry up to thirty (30) pounds. Requires manual coordination to operate telephones, computers, and other business equipment. Requires continuous mental and visual attention to diversified operations. Must be able to function efficiently despite distractions and interruptions. Strong oral and/or written communication skills with residents, coworkers, families, and the public.
